Award Winning Projects:
The Elmhurst College West Hall project was awarded LEED “Gold” Certification from the USGBC in 2009 incorporating permeable parking lots with underground storm water management systems and a highly efficient building with solar panels. This project also received the ACEC (American Council of Engineering Companies) Illinois Engineering Excellence Award - Merit Award for Sustainable Site Design.
The Tolleston Park Improvements project in Gary, IN received the “1998 Park Development Award” from the Indiana Park Recreation Association. Work included a new water slide, pool and bathhouse renovations, pavilion renovation and addition, new lighting and utilities, new basketball and tennis courts, new jogging path and volleyball courts, new shelter and playgrounds, new parking, landscaping and signage.
The Holy Family Church Restoration project received the “Richard H. Driehaus Preservation Project of the Year Award” from the Landmarks Preservation Council of Illinois in 1995 for outstanding quality in the preservation and restoration of the 140+ year old Holy Family Church in Chicago, IL.
Award-Winning Firm:
Project Control received the “Hammer Award” from the General Services Administration for cost control services on the $150 million dollar IRS Detroit Computing Center in 1995. The award was issued to the GSA Team and Project Control by Vice President Al Gore.
Project Control received a “Recognition Award” from the General Services Administration In 1994 for outstanding performance in cost estimating and independent cost analyses for municipal projects in the Midwest Five-State Region.
